SpawnBox 1.0 - out of preview, with accounts and Pro now open
Our first stable release. SpawnBox is free to run on your own PC. Optionally add an account for a free Pro trial and Pro plans, now open.
Highlights
- · SpawnBox is out of preview - our first stable 1.0 release. It's free to run on your own PC, and now you can optionally go Pro: an auto-renewing monthly or annual plan, or a one-time Season Pass that lasts 90 days with nothing to cancel.
- · Getting an account is one passwordless tap - the same Sign in button creates your account or signs you back in, and a quick menu shows what an account adds. Your first sign-in starts a free 48-hour Pro trial so you can try everything before you decide. If a trial doesn't show up for you, let us know.
- · There's now a single Account area that opens your secure web portal, where your plan, billing, sign-in details, and account deletion all live in one place. It opens straight from the app without asking you to sign in again.
- · Your signed-in button now shows a Free or Pro badge at a glance, plus a small light that counts down when a trial or plan is winding down - calm when there's plenty of time, amber when it's almost up. Your plan reads the same everywhere in the app and updates right away after a change.
- · Your server's easy web address is now its own setting, separate from the 'let friends join over the internet' switch, and each server can hold its own address at the same time. If an address ever changes on its own you get a one-time heads-up with the old and new name. The messages are clearer too: plain-English reasons when a name can't be used, and an honest amber heads-up (not a scary error) if an address was claimed by a different account, with how to keep it.
- · When a Pro feature is winding down, SpawnBox explains it kindly instead of just stopping: your custom address and the public dashboard that shares it are held for a grace period and revert together, with a countdown that says exactly what changes and when, and going over the free server limit gives you a heads-up instead of a start-time surprise. Signing out now also shows an honest, per-server summary of what it actually affects.
- · The Server Controls panel got a cleaner layout with plain-English explanations and tidier Start and Restart menus, plus a new option to choose whether SpawnBox starts automatically when Windows starts.
- · We fixed a problem where SpawnBox could keep asking you to restart your PC, even right after you already had, when nothing actually needed it. The restart heads-up now only shows when something SpawnBox is setting up genuinely needs one.
- · The Help & Support option in your account menu now opens our community where you can get help, instead of being a dead link.
