A few years ago, a health scare stopped me in my tracks. I stepped back from a long career in enterprise IT - building systems for some of the biggest companies in the world - and found myself at home with my kids. They needed a Minecraft server. How hard could it be?
Turns out: impossibly hard, unless you already know what you're doing. The tools were scattered, the documentation was written for Linux engineers, and nothing was designed for the people who actually run these servers - parents, teachers, teenagers, friends. I kept thinking: someone should fix this. Then I realized that someone was probably me.
SpawnBox is what happened next. Real-time analytics with 30+ metric streams. A live world map with heatmaps and player tracking. Discord integration with activity feeds, chat bridge, and remote console. An always-on background service that keeps everything running while you sleep, while you're at school, while you play on the same machine. It might be the most ambitious Minecraft server project ever attempted - and it's all designed so that anyone can use it.
It's not done yet. I'm inviting a small group of people to help me get it right before it goes public. That's why you're here.
We're issuing a limited number of both Pro and Free preview codes. We need real feedback on both tiers - how the free experience feels, whether Pro features deliver, and where the line between them should be.

A note about your data
Your Minecraft worlds and servers are safe - we'll never touch your game files. But SpawnBox's own data (analytics, sessions, settings) may reset as we iterate. Backups are built in and we recommend using them.
Telemetry & diagnostics
As a preview member, you're helping us understand what works. Here's what we collect:

- Performance baselines (load times, TPS)
- Server setup details (loader, version, installed mods/plugins)
We never collect
- Chat messages or personal conversations
- World file contents or builds
- Player IP addresses or location data
Anonymous usage data is required during preview so we can monitor update quality and catch issues quickly. Cross-device identity (an anonymous code, never your actual account info) is optional and can be toggled in Settings. All data is anonymous regardless. There's also a voluntary "Send Diagnostic Package" option for troubleshooting. Full details in our Privacy Policy.
Performance note
Preview builds run with enhanced logging to help us diagnose issues. You may notice slightly higher memory usage and occasional slower operations. This is temporary.
